When Snap Mail is opened from the Apple menu, the Snap menu will appear in the menu bar.
From this menu, the following commands are available:
• About Snap Mail and On-line Help
Choosing “About Snap Mail...” will bring up an About Box giving the current Snap Mail version number. Clicking on the “Help” button from within the About Box brings up the Snap Mail On-line Help window, where you can quickly learn about Snap Mail features without referring to this beautiful, carefully crafted manual.
• Find...
Find lets you find mail items that contain a particular piece of text. Choosing “Find...” will bring up the Find window, where you can enter the search string.
• Find Again
Choosing “Find Again” will initiate another search for a piece of text that was entered for the previous “Find” command.
• Save As
If one or more pieces of mail are selected, “Save As...” will bring up a window that allows you to save this mail to a named text file. If more than one piece of mail is selected, they will all be saved together in the same file. You also have the option to append the mail to an existing file.
• Capture Icon
If a mail item in the InBox is selected, choosing “Capture Icon” will put a copy of the mail’s icon in your icon list and associate the sent mail with the icon as its form.
• Icons & Forms
Choosing “Icons & Forms...” will bring up the Icons & Forms window, where you can design your own mail-notification icons as well as create text forms and modify those forms captured with “Capture Icon.”
• Groups
Choosing “Groups...” will bring up the Groups window, where you can define group names that allow you to reference many users under a collective name.
• Mail Log
Choosing “Mail Log...” will bring up the Mail Log window, where you can check to see if you have pending mail that has yet to be delivered, unpost active alerts, and view your log of mail that has been delivered.
• Preferences
Choosing “Preferences...” will bring up the Preferences window, where you can change the way Snap Mail notifies you of incoming mail, change the way Snap Mail sends mail, set a number of interface preferences, change the text font, set up default folders, choose whether or not your computer will function as a Snap Mail server, and set special network characteristics.
• Name & Password
Choosing “Name & Password...” will bring up a window that allows you to change your user name as well as set password protection so that others cannot have access to your mail if they are using your computer.
• Page Setup
Choosing “Page Setup...” will bring up the standard Mac Page Setup window, in which you can set the printing format.
• Print
Choosing “Print...” will bring up a the standard Mac Print window, which will allow you to print the selected mail items.
• Quit
Choosing “Quit” closes the Snap Mail desk accessory.
